Balance service fees for balance responsible parties in Finland to decrease on 1 July 2026
Fingrid will lower the balance service fees for balance responsible parties from July 1, 2026. The reason for the decrease is due to lower costs of power system reserves.
As of 1 July 2026, the volume fee for production and consumption charged to balance responsible parties will decrease to 0,40 EUR/MWh. Fingrid is able to reduce the fee thanks to lower than expected reserve costs. The current volume fee is 0,65 EUR/MWh. Other balance service fees will remain unchanged.
Appendix 1 has therefore been updated accordingly.
