The Nordic electricity market has transitioned to 15‑minute time resolution across key market processes, including imbalance settlement, reserve markets, the intraday market, and the day‑ahead market. In line with this development, eSett is continuing the harmonisation of its data services.

eSett plans to discontinue data packages with hourly time resolution in cases where a corresponding 15‑minute data package is available. The 15‑minute data packages are recommended going forward.

The change applies only to time‑series data packages where both hourly and 15‑minute versions exist. Data packages that only contain structural data are not affected.

Apart from the time resolution, the data content and structure remain unchanged.

What market participants need to do

Market participants that are still subscribed to hourly‑resolution data packages are kindly requested to update their subscriptions to the corresponding 15‑minute versions.

Subscriptions can be managed in the eSett Online Service under Reports » Data Packages Management, using the row context menu (≡).

Timeline

The updated timeline for discontinuing hourly‑resolution data packages is end of October 2026. After this date, data delivery for remaining hourly‑resolution subscriptions will end.

Market participants who believe that hourly‑resolution data packages should be temporarily retained for specific use cases are invited to contact eSett.

Kindly contact eSett’s customer service if you have any questions about the changes.
