Capacity Settlement in Norway will be transferred to eSett

Statnett will transfer the settlement of mFRR and mFRR-D balancing capacity procured in Norway to eSett, effective from December 3rd, 2024

The settlement of aFRR and FCR balancing capacity will also be moved to eSett but at a later stage. The exact go-live date for these capacity reserves will be communicated later.

Norwegian BSPs (Balancing Service Providers) have the option to include the Capacity Settlement in their current Imbalance Settlement invoice or to separate it into its own BSP invoice. If BSPs choose to keep the Capacity Reserve products on the Imbalance Settlement invoice, no further action is required.

BSPs requiring an additional BSP role for their company should contact eSett by September 2024 to ensure sufficient time for the necessary changes.
